Assessment as Learning:  Maximizing the potential of assessment in CBL

Assessment as Learning is an educational approach where the responsibility for the assessment process is shared between the teacher and the students with the ultimate goal to empower students to become self-directed learners. In this workshop, participants will reflect on the value of Assessment as Learning in a CBL classroom. Together, we will differentiate Assessment as Learning from Assessment of and for Learning, explore key ideas behind this approach, and challenge ourselves to rethink our assessment practices. As a result, participants will advance their knowledge of Assessment as Learning and connect with the CBL community around this topic.
