The gap between university education and industry demands limits students' readiness for professional environments. Traditional models prioritize theory over practical experience, delaying exposure to real-world applications. InnoCrowd, an innovative challenge-based learning (CBL) program, bridges this gap by integrating industry challenges into university courses. Implemented at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, it connected 164 students with seven companies, fostering hands-on learning and soft skill development. Student feedback highlighted enhanced motivation and industry relevance, while companies valued collaboration and fresh perspectives. The program demonstrates how academia-industry partnerships can enhance education, prepare students for careers, and drive regional innovation.
